Pet portraits are such a special way to commemorate your best friend pet, and commissioning your own piece of artwork could not be easier! And, if you are in love with animals, domestic or wild, a portrait of your favorite creature will bring you joy for years to come.
As an award winning professional artist, my goal is to capture not only your animal’s likeness, but to also capture its personality.
I work from photos, so no matter where you are in the world, I can draw your pet without meeting you and your creature. You can send me as many photos of your pet as you wish so that I have an idea of what your pet is like. For the actual portrait though, I need good quality photos to work from. The best photos will clearly show your pet’s eyes and other aspects of its face so that I can render the features accurately. As well, the most preferred pose would be one where your pet is looking into the camera lens, and taken at the same level as the pet, rather than from above or below the level of the pet.

Your portrait will be shipped to you mounted, but unframed. Each comes with a protective acid-free, plastic envelope to keep the drawing from smudging. You will also receive a sheet of care instructions to inform you of the best way to frame and hang your portrait.
All my prices are based on one subject, but can be adjusted if you have more than one animal in the drawing. Sizes in the price chart are based on paper size. The portrait will be a good size within the portrait area. Square sized portraits are also available in the following sizes: 12” x 12” and 20” x 20”.
If you require a different size than is in the chart, we can determine the price according to the size and complexity of the subject.
I require a 25% booking fee to secure your commission space, which is non-refundable. The booking fee ensures your place and price are secured, no matter whether current prices go up before your piece is drawn. The remainder of the price of your portrait is due upon completion of the portrait. Payment plans are available…please ask if this is an option you want to consider.
Prices are subject to change, but once you have booked and paid your advance deposit, your price is set.

In Canada, the shipping and handling fee is $40.00. For elsewhere in the world, you will receive a custom postage quote before committing to the drawing.
